This was the tips page published in Kiseki Volume 2 Issue 7

As quoted by :iconkururu-pon:

"Firstly I cannot stress enough that these are more like my personal observations for absolute beginners who just need a few pointers on what not to do/focus on too hard when starting out. Most artists would probably know this sort of thing but just in case some don't~ I'll share this with you."

Hope you find it useful! :)

Thank you for this "tutorial" (or sort of XD)
I especially like the first point because, lol, I admit it, it's a mistake I often make! XD

I'm sooooo glad to find another person who shares my opinion! Skillfully placed lines are FAR more crucial to a good drawing than detail. I hate seeing people show off a detailed sloppy drawing and getting praise over my simpler clean drawings.

On the other hand with a little bit of editing, the other one almost looks like a chibi :) Not a great one though, but it's almost there.

What about "copying" someone's coloring style? I mean, I love how many pieces of manga art have such wonderful use of color, and I like studying how they paint those, which Sai/Photoshop effects and tools they use to make their linearts look good, also the use of textures on backgrounds and the use of tribals and frames... And then, well, my idea is to try those tips on my own lineart... and also... my lineart, although has manga influences, it isn't 100% manga anymore, so I really don't know if that "wonderful manga coloring" will match my drawing style...

love step 4... It gets annoying for people to brag about not using a reference. Since when is using a reference so terrible? Leonardo, Michaelangelo, etc they all used references.
